Hemorrhoids for beginnersBasically, when you suffer from hemorrhoids you actually have swollen and inflamed veins either on the outside of your body around your anus (external hemorrhoids) or inside your lower rectum (internal hemorrhoids). Hemorrhoids are often caused by straining on the toilet, which can cause too much pressure on the veins. Therefore it is important for hemorrhoids sufferers to avoid constipation and hard stools.
